Messiah is widely regarded as a musical masterpiece. Written in 1741 it has stood the test of time being performed annually throughout the world. In addition to its musical excellence, Messiah tells the story of Christ in which many find spiritual renewal particularly on Easter Sunday.
As in our previous performances, we endeavor to select soloists who are singing with us for the first time and will delight you with the unique and subtle differences each singer brings in telling this story.
Admission to our concert is free so invite your family and friends to come with you for an Easter Sunday afternoon of beautiful music and spritual renewal.
The brief Informance prior to the concert is a short talk, slightly different each year, intended to enhance your enjoyment of the concert.
This concert is a musical gift to the Grand Valley community made possible by the volunteer hours of our chorus, the lifelong commitment to making music by our orchestra, soloists, and director, the generous financial contributions of our donors, and our audience as no gift has meaning without a recipient.
